Scrapbook elements for July

The scrapbook elements that I am going to share with you today were stamped by a variety of people through a yahoo group I belong to. I love the work that they do and want to share their creativity with you. The stamp sets that were used are the soon to be retired "Independence Day" and "The Free & the Brave". The colors were Real Red, Brilliant Blue and Whisper White. I designed the following tags which work great on card fronts or scrapbook pages. On the first tag, I stamped the text and then used Versamark and Irridescent Ice embossing powder to give that all over glitter feeling. On the next 2 tags I couldn't resist the urge to use our Red Cosmo glitter. So I stamped the image in Versamark, used Heat Stick powder and then adhered the glitter. I like the way they all turned out.

 The following items were stamped by other members of the group (even though my designed by tag is attached for copyright purposes). We have a title, borders and various other pieces to give a cohesive set of stamped elements great for your scrapbook pages or cards.

Don't they look great? I love the way all of the elements always work so well together just because we all use the same ingredients and stamp sets. Everything is always Stampin'Up! unless it is a product that we do not carry like shrink plastic.

Celebrate the 4th with this special card

The card I am sharing today uses two of the retiring stamp sets listed on our Last Chance List, "Independence Day" and "The Free & the Brave". I used the typical red, white and blue colors. I jazzed it up a bit with some red cosmo glitter and varying punches.

My card used this sketch from Splitcoast as it's initial inspiration, but it didn't stay true to the sketch.

       It doesn't look exactly like the sketch, but here is my take on this sketch:

Scrapbook Elements

I promised to share with you a title that I made for a scrapbook page and here it is! It uses the stamp set "Just Buzzin By". I love the color combination. I belong to a Yahoo Group called "HotSwappinMamas" where I have participated most months for the last 5 years I think. Some really great stamping comes from this group. The list momma, Bobbi Sample, chooses the theme for the month (sometimes with input from the members) and then she chooses the stamp sets and colors that we can choose. Each participant chooses an element to make and then sends them in to Bobbi. The sets that come back to us are so well coordinated and the creativeness of each participant is very often overwhelming. I just love participating. This title was my submission for one of the May swaps.

Masculine Card

WOW, a month ago I promised a masculine card in Chocolate Chip. It is finally here. Sorry, but I have been out of town most of May at different increments. I will try to do better!!

The card I am sharing with you begins with Sage Shadow, Chocolate Chip, Sahara Sand and To the Nines DSP. I love the way the colors work together. I maintained a somewhat monochromatic approach with all my stamping and accessories. My stamp sets included Soft Summer and Eight Great Greetings from the Occasions Mini and then I used the 5/16" Jumbo Brads neutral assortment and Chocolate Chip grograin ribbon from the Spring Summer 09 Idea Book and Catalog for some extra texture and interest. The Key Tag Punch (which is on the Last Chance List today) and the Round Tab Punch were used for a focal point for my Dad greeting. Chocolate chip Cosmo glitter completes the card and is just one more of the chocolate chip elements on this card.

Isn't it fun when everything you want to use coordinates so beautifully? That is one on my favorite things about Stampin'Up! Our Designer Papers, cardstock and ink products come in such a coordinated variety. Then when you have ribbons, brads, buttons etc. that also coordinate, how can you go wrong?
